Fibroids

Fibroids are one of the most common causes of delayed pregnancy in women and are a type of tumor in the uterus.

Fibrous affects more than 70% of women and is not accompanied by any noticeable symptoms.
But they can be detected by medical examination or periodic follow-ups with the gynecologist.

Causes of uterine fibroid

There is no clear cause for the appearance of fibroids, they occur as a result of an increase in the secretion of the female hormones progesterone and estrogen.

We find that as these hormones continue to be secreted or if they are abnormalized, the endometrium grows further and turns into fibrous swelling.

Uterine fibroids also arise and grow as a result of the presence of certain genetic factors in the uterine cells, such as certain genetic changes in the mother cells of the uterus.

Where their growth and size vary, of course, due to hormonal changes in the uterus, for example, fibroids increase in size during the menstrual cycle, and decrease in size during pregnancy and childbirth, due to a decrease in hormone secretion.

Medicine therapy

The doctor recommends the convergence of some medications that are useful in treating fibroids without the need for surgical intervention, and this is in the case of small fibroids that do not affect pregnancy or childbearing.

Hysteroscopy

In some cases, the doctor uses hysteroscopy through the cervix, if it is inside the uterus.

Laparoscopy

Laparoscopy is used in case of extrauterine fibrosis of large size, through a hole in the abdominal wall, thus removing fibroids.
