In addition to the factors that control the success rate of ICSI, the most important of which is the age of the wife, here are the success rates according to age: –

If the wife is under the age of 35 years and the ovarian stock is intact, the success rate of the operation reaches 60% and 70%, and the success rate of the operation reaches 50% if the age of the wife ranges from 36-38 years,

At the age of 40 years, the success rate of ICSI becomes 30%, and gradually decreases with increasing age, we find that the wife at the age of over 40 years, the success rate ranges from 10-15%.

Are the tests correct and yet no pregnancy occurs?

The condition of the couple is considered to delay childbearing until 12 months after marriage with a healthy and complete marital relationship, but in the case of a full year of marriage without pregnancy.

At that time, we go to search for pathological causes that delay childbearing, and we find that marriage represents 40% of the causes of delayed pregnancy, and the wife 50% of the reasons, with 10% of the delayed childbearing unknown.

What is the treatment for aspermia?

Many men are exposed to severe shock after conducting a semen examination, after discovering that there are no sperm in the semen sample, but rest assured, dear husband, because, with the testicular sample using a surgical microscope, there is still hope to find sperm foci and achieve the dream of parenthood.

What is the religious ruling on ICSI?

This is a question that comes a lot to the minds of all couples and we stand at it confused, until the answer comes from Dr. Magdi Ashour, the scientific advisor to the Grand Mufti of the Republic, through the official page of Dar Iftia.

“Ashour,” said that ICSI is permissible because it is the fertilization of the wife’s egg with the husband’s sperm in the event of the marital relationship and its non-termination, noting that there is no suspicion of mixing lineages.

He added that there may be someone who cannot conceive for some reason, or perhaps a couple cannot conceive despite the lack of medical reasons, but there is a certain reason why a single sperm does not reach the egg in order to fertilize it.

He stressed that this is God’s command, and here it is possible to resort to the reasons for knowledge where Sharia does not care about it, explaining: «In the event of a marital relationship, there is nothing in this, but we call for it if people need it by consulting a doctor».
